چکیده

Lablab purpureus is an important pulse crop in some parts of sub-Saharan Africa and Asia but has largely remained underutilized. Understanding the genetic diversity prerequisite for improvement utilization this leguminous crop. The relationships local lablab genotypes those collected from other diverse geographic origins including wild accessions remain unknown Kenya. study was undertaken to determine population structure germplasm Kenya global regions. Eight simple sequence repeat primer pairs were used genotype 189 accessions. A total 39 alleles revealed by eight SSR with average 4.88 per polymorphic loci. PIC 0.42. gene among ranged 0.26 0.52 0.38, indicating moderate diversity. Germplasm showed a 0.36. Higher (He<0.5) detected within Ethiopian South populations. Analysis molecular variance (AMOVA) that 94% allele attributed individuals populations while only 6% distributed Bayesian model-based Structure method Principal coordinate analysis (PCoA) scatter plot clustered into three groups germplasms showing distribution all groups. mainly Southern Eastern confirming earlier suggestions African origin. results are discussed light

Genetic Diversity and Population Structure of Iranian tulips revealed by EST-SSR and NBS-LRR Markers

The genus Tulipa L. (Liliaceae) comprises about 100 species and Iran is considered as one of the main origins of tulips. In this research, genetic diversity and population structure of 27 wild populations of tulips collected from Iran were studied by 15 highly polymorphic and reproducible expressed sequenced tag-simple sequence repeat (EST-SSR) markers and 8 nucleotide binding site (NBS)-enzyme...

Microsatellite analysis of selected Lablab purpureus genotypes in Kenya

Lablab (Lablab Purpureus) is a legume of high nutritional value and broad social acceptance ranging from human food to soil fertility improvement to foarge. Information on genetic worth and diversity of lablab genotypes in Kenya is scanty and this is a great impediment to the improvement of the crop hence its utilization. This research was conducted to determine genetic diversity in lablab germ...

Moroccan Leishmania infantum: genetic diversity and population structure as revealed by multi-locus microsatellite typing

Leishmania infantum causes Visceral and cutaneous leishmaniasis in northern Morocco. It predominantly affects children under 5 years with incidence of 150 cases/year. Genetic variability and population structure have been investigated for 33 strains isolated from infected dogs and humans in Morocco. A multilocus microsatellite typing (MLMT) approach was used in which a MLMtype based on size var...

Genetic Diversity and Structure of Natural Quercus variabilis Population in China as Revealed by Microsatellites Markers

Quercus variabilis is a tree species of ecological and economic value that is widely distributed in China. To effectively evaluate, use, and conserve resources, we applied 25 pairs of simple sequence repeat (SSR) primers to study its genetic diversity and genetic structure in 19 natural forest or natural secondary forest populations of Q. variabilis (a total of 879 samples). A total of 277 alle...
